Feyenoord's fanatical S.C.F unit are one of the most feared firms in European football. In the 1997 "Battle of Beverwijk", hundreds of Ajax supporters were attacked by the S.C.F and one fan lost his life. In 2007, Feyenoord were expelled from the UEFA Cup when trouble flared during their tie with AS Nancy of France. French police had to use tear gas to drive the S.C.F away from AS Nancy fans.
