It isn't just the violence that kills in this jail, it's the vile conditions too. The prison is designed for 600 but numbers often exceed 1,000.

Cells are often no larger than four square metres and inmates sleep as many as five to a room, bedding down on mattresses laid on the floor. Toilet facilities, food and clean water are scarce.
