The former singer with S Club 7 has had two falls from grace: One from the band when they split and then again when she was accused of racial bullying on Celebrity Big Brother.

Now she devotes herself to rescuing horses and other animals at her Essex home. She says: "I'm sure that sounds daft to some people but animals don't judge you. And when they come to trust you it's such a rewarding and unconditional thing. I love it. Being with animals was my therapy."
