Once the lead singer with The New Seekers (remember 'I'd Like To Teach The Word To Sing'?), she went from performing at President Nixon's inaugural ball in 1973 and being part of a band that sold 25 million records, to working as a bra fitter at Debenhams.
Her planned solo career failed to take off and she now lives with her husband. She said: "It's best not to dwell on the past. I don't get a penny when a New Seekers record sells and that can be irritating but you can't let it rule your life."
