The daughter of 50s rocker Marty Wilde had a host of top 10 hits - most memorably 'Kids In America'. But by the end of the 80s she faded away. However the grass was greener on the other side for the blonde bombshell, who decided it was time for a new challenge and that came in the unlikely form of gardening.
She conquered her new field and was soon designing for TV shows 'Better Gardens' and 'Garden Invaders'. She also wrote a book, 'Gardening With Children' and won a Gold Award at the 2005 Chelsea Flower Show. She said: "If I had to choose between singing and gardening, it would have to be gardening. For me, a life without working with flowers and plants wouldn't be a life worth living."
