Richard Bingham, the missing 7th Earl of Lucan, has reportedly been found living in a Range Rover with a possum for company in New Zealand. Bingham disappeared on November 8, 1974 following the murder of his children's nanny, Sandra Rivett, and attempted murder of his estranged wife, Lady Lucan, at his home. His wife accused Bingham of being the attacker and a coroner's jury brought a verdict of unlawful killing and named Lucan as the murderer.

The man in New Zealand, Richard Woodgate, claims that he is an ex ministry of defence photographer and is 10 years younger than Bingham and five inches shorter. The mystery of Lord Lucan's disappearance is unlikely to be solved and this is yet another sighting to go with the numerous reported ones across the globe since the Earl vanished.
