Furious fans call for show to be axed!
The Celebrity Big Brother race row has received a record number of complaints and calls for the show to be axed.
TV watchdogs have now received 20,000 complaints about the apparent bullying of actress Shilpa Shetty.
Bosses said they could not act because the Bollywood star has not complained about it herself. But fans fear their stubborn reluctance to step in could mean the shocking antics of Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd, Jack Tweed and Jo O'Meara will get worse.
The show is now one of the most complained about programmes ever on British TV after the friends mimicked Shilpa's Indian accent, refused to eat her spicy food and mocked her for using facial hair bleach.
Jo said: "Indians are thin because they don't cook food properly."
Danielle said: "She wants to be white she's a dog."
Jade said: "She makes me feel sick, she makes my skin crawl."
The situation has escalated that much that police and MPs have been dragged into the debate.
Labour's Keith Vaz tabled the motion for debate in the house of commons. He said: "We would not tolerate this type of racist abuse on other TV programmes and we should not do so by a programme that is watched by millions of people."
The house will be thrown into even more chaos today as three new housemates are set to enter. A Channel 4 spokesman told the Daily Star, "We can confirm that some new housemates will be going into the house."
