Viewers outrage at racist remarks
Celebrity Big Brother bosses have been swamped with complaints over an apparent race slur against Shilpa Shetty.
More than 200 viewers called watchdogs after Jack Tweed seemed to use racist abuse towards the Bollywood superstar.
A spokeswoman from TV watchdog told the Daily Star: "We have had more then 200 complaints about racism on the show. We will look into each individual complaint."
Channel 4 chiefs have found themselves under fire after a clip was broadcast showing Jack whispering a comment to his girlfriend Jade Goody. His language was largely bleeped out but it is thought he made a racist remark about Shilpa.
Fans of the show now want him removed from the house and rumours of the incident have even been reported in India.
Channel 4 spokesman said: "We take this matter very seriously, Big Brother does not tolerate racist abuse. We are monitoring housemates and will take appropriate measures to reprimand such behaviour where necessary."
