Known as: Rock 'n' roll frontman
Then: A trout fishery owner
Leading The Who into rock rebellion and assaulting the charts for decades was always going to be high-octane stressful job, and one which lead singer Roger Daltry needed to relax from. Daltry said: "When I go fishing, I come away feeling like I've smoked half a dozen joints". While narcotics and boats is always a bad idea, Daltrey overcame the rock excess and built his own trout farm.
The Lakedown Trout Fishery is made up of four luxurious lakes set in 26 acres in the Wealden Valley area of Sussex. Daltrey designed it himself and can often be found engaging in a spot of (drug-free) fishing.
