Released to cash in on the iPhone in June 2008, the Omnia didn't keep its head above the water of Apple's relentless PR campaign. Nevertheless, this Windows-powered model offered a suitable alternative to Apple's apparent monopoly.
Target audience:Those still loyal to Microsoft and photographers - the 5.0 mexapixel camera helped make this more than just a flash in the pan.
Verdict:The great camera is backed up by the sleek looks that bypass the iPhone's bulkiness. It also runs on the ever-familiar Windows but the touch screen isn't that responsive, 3G is unreliable and once again the battery life isn't up to scratch.
