Written by Mike Rich, this film is about an African-American teenager, named Jamal Wallace, who is invited to attend a prestigious private high school.  Here Jamal meets writer William Forrester. 

Soon realising his talent for writing Jamal expresses starts to express himself through the power of words, finally finding his identity.

This film won the Prize of the Guild of German Art House Cinemas from the Berlin Film Festival.
