The head of the Lord's Resistance Army, Kony has earned himself a terrifying reputation in Uganda since they began their campaign of terror in 1987.

In attempting to establish a theocratic government, his guerrilla outfit are believed to have committed many brutal acts in pursuit of their goals. These include kidnapping an estimated 20,000 children.
