Danielle Lloyd has lifted the lid on the controversial race row that has consumed the nation over the last few weeks.

In an interview with the Daily Star she told of how Jade Goody told her she would never speak to Shilpa Shetty again - and then suddenly did a U-turn after her private diary room session.

She also exposed how Jade told the other celebrities on her eviction night that their antics had caused big trouble in the outside world.

TV bosses tried to ban Danielle from the after-show press conference because they were worried about what comments she might make.

She was only permitted to make a public statement when winner Shilpa Shetty stepped in and demanded that she be allowed to join them.

After repeatedly apologising for her actions in the house Danielle said: "I won't deny what I said but I am not a racist and never have been. I've just been stupid. I do feel I have come out a different person though - and a better one."
