A favourite with cash-strapped students, a tin of baked beans could be the ideal lunchtime snack. And as there's no meat, it's a viable veggie option too. There's already all day breakfasts so why not?

Nutritionally it's fairly sound, with beans being high in folic acid and vitamin C from the tomatoes, but some may not be able to get over the taste of cold beans and the bread it liable to go pretty soggy.
