Director Leslie Martinson provides a fun-spirited outing that is more a mockery of the Dark Knight's legend than a telling of the stories from the original comic. Its light-hearted take - filled with sound effects like "KAPOW!" that actually fly at the screen in cartoon bubbles - were supposed to be silly and the cast embraced this factor. Ward delivers some of the cheesiest lines such as "holy costume party that's The Penguin!" or "holy bikini that was close!"
