The victim of the horrific attack that happened this week in Woolwich, London, has been named as Drummer Lee Rigby, a 25-year-old soldier.
Drummer Rigby, reportedly from the North West of England, was part of the 2nd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
A statement has been released from his family which said: “Lee was lovely. He would do anything for anybody, he always looked after his sisters and always protected them. He took a 'big brother' role with everyone.
It also read: “All he wanted to do from when he was a little boy, was be in the Army.”
Tributes have been paid to the soldier since his tragic death, including the MoD paying tribute to him.
Reportedly, as of time of press, the two male suspects who were shot by officers and arrested remain in hospital.
One of the suspects is believed to be named as Michael Adebolajo.
Scotland Yard has confirmed that two more arrests have been made since the machete attack on the soldier in Woolwich on Wednesday, 22nd May, as stated by the BBC in one report.
