Actress Kate Winslet is reported to be horrified that a fan underwent plastic surgery in order to look more like the Titanic star.

The radical makeover was shown as part of the MTV show "I Want a Famous face". The programme followed a 21-year-old model who had breast implants and a tummy tuck in a bid to make her body similar to that of the famous actress.

According to the Sun newspaper, Ms Winslet felt 'duty bound' to watch the show but "could not believe this girl was putting herself through this because she wanted to look what she thought I looked like".

She added: "This girl had collected magazine covers with me on the front. I thought I don't look like that. That's a digitally altered image."

Kate Winslet famously admitted that she had her curves trimmed by computer experts when her photo appeared on the cover of men's magazine 'GQ'.
