‘The Black Eyed Peas’ star Will.i.am is set to receive the Humanitarian Award at the Noble Gift Gala on December 8th in London. The event will be hosted by Spice Girls star Melanie Brown.
Noble Gift Gala is a tribute to individuals or group of people who support and foster awareness for children and the empowerment of women around the world.
Will.i.am will be awarded the organisation’s 2012 Humanitarian Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to charity. The singer has set up a foundation to provide post-school teaching and scholarships for disadvantaged youngsters.
‘The Black Eyed Peas’ is an American group whose lead singer is female vocalist, Fergie. The pop group have had many hit songs including “Where is the Love?,” “Let’s Get it Started,” “Shut Up” and “Pump It” among many others.
Will.i.am is a judge on The Voice – the X Factor’s rival reality talent show. The Voice appeared on our TV’s early this year with fellow judges Danny O’Donoghue from pop band The Script, singer Jessie J and popular welsh artist, Sir Tom Jones.
