Former X Factor star will wed boyfriend of three years...

Reality TV star Stacey Solomon has announced her engagement to long-term partner, Aaron Barham.

The IÂ’m a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! winner was holidaying in New York when her boyfriend of three years popped the question during a romantic ride in a horse-drawn carriage.

The 22-year-old former X factor contestant seemed delighted with the proposal, writing on her twitter page:

"I canÂ’t believe heÂ’s finally asked me ..... :D"

Her spokesman Max Clifford confirmed the engagement, telling The Sun:

"They're a lovely genuine couple who get on so well. It's a wonderful finale to what has been a tremendous year for her."

The engagement comes one month after the pair revealed they are expecting their first child together.

Stacey already has a son from a previous relationship and - although the new baby was not planned - the couple are extremely happy.

She told The Sun:

"We are really excited. And I'm really looking forward to everything, knowing I am sharing it with the person I want to spend the rest of my life with."

In the meantime, the Dagenham-born singer is hoping to reach number one for Christmas with her cover of Driving Home For Christmas, which is currently featured on the Iceland adverts.

The single will be released on 19 December and will be up against the X Factor winners song.

All proceeds from the track will go to AlzheimerÂ’s Research UK and childrenÂ’s hospice charity, Together For Short Lives.
