Actress Gloria Stewart, who played elderly Rose in the film Titanic, has passed away at the age of 100.
Stuart appeared in several films during the 1930s and retired from acting in 1946.
She resumed her profession at 87 to play elderly shipwreck survivor, Rose Calvert, in the film Titanic and subsequently became the oldest actor ever to be nominated for an Oscar.
Her early movie roles included turns in ‘The Invisible Man’ and she played opposite Shirley Temple in ‘Poor Little Rich Girl.’
Stuart died in her sleep at her Los Angeles home on Sunday night.
