1. Miliband is a big fan of U2, especially lead singer Bono, and has all of their CDs.
2. Ed doesn’t have a favourite member of the Beatles. According to a spokesman, he is “passionate about them all.”
3. He is, in fact, an avid train-spotter, but doesnÂ’t have a particular favourite train.
4. LabourÂ’s new leader has a collection of over 20 ties - some are patterned, some are plain.
5. Aged 10, a young Miliband won a Blue Peter badge and even appeared on the programme, reciting all of the British Prime Ministers since Sir Robert Walpole.
6. He recalled this list again in the presence of the Queen at an informal lunch at Buckingham Palace.
