Eastenders has again fought off competition from its rivals by scooping six awards at the Inside Soap Awards.
The annual event, which is now in its 25th year, gave recognition to the soap, which has seen rape, murder, incest and an explosive live episode over the past year.
Awards for the soap included Best Actress for Lacey Turner, Sexiest Male for Scott Maslen, Best Wedding for Syed Masood and Amira Shah, Best Exit for Charlie Clements and the coveted Best Soap.
Biggest rival, Coronation Street, only managed to scrape four awards which included Sexiest Actress for Michelle Keegan, Best Young Actor for Alex Bain, Funniest Performance for Craig Gazey and Best Stunt for the factory siege.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, scooped Best Actor for Danny Miller and Best Dramatic Performance for its homosexuality plot.
The other big soap, Chester-based drama Hollyoaks, was left empty handed, despite their cast members putting on a glamorous display.
Both Eastenders and Coronation Street have celebrated big milestones this year. The London-based soap recorded its 25th anniversary with a who-dunnit-style live episode, whilst the long running North West drama celebrates its 50th anniversary later this year with a blockbuster-style tram crash.
