Travellers have voted for Baia do Sancho in Fernando de Noronha in Brazil as the best beach in the world.

Travelers have voted for the best beaches in the world and Baia do Sancho in Fernando de Noronha in Brazil won the top spot.
Located off the coast of Fortaleza, it was followed by Grace Bay on the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos. Rabbit Beach in Lampedusa, Italy completed the top three.
Other European entries include Spain’s Balearic Island of Formentara, which is at number five and Greece took 10th place with Elafonissi Beach, an island off the southwestern corner of Crete. Meanwhile, the only British entry was in Devon, with Woolacombe Beach taking 13th place.
The beautiful Whitehaven Beach on the Whitsunday Islands off the northeast coast of Queensland is at number 10. One traveller described it as: 'The whole beach is untouched. No stores, no restaurants, just the beauty of nature at its best.'
