Lawton Court, a beachfront hotel in Wales has been voted the best value hotel in the world on Trip Advisor. With rooms that cost £74 a night, the hotel received 233 five-star ratings out of 235. The other two guests gave it four stars.
One guest said: "We had a wonderful time at this hotel, the place is spotless, breakfast amazing 10 out of 10. As for service I would say 12/10, we cannot wait to come back."
Another said: "The best hotel we have ever stayed in, from day one Scott made us feel at home with his friendly sense of humour. The food was amazing with a full English plus extra and the service brilliant. The rooms are lovely and clean with a sea view."
Owners Scott and Hannah Lawton were extremely happy.
"We are over the moon and never imagined winning any awards. We just try to make our guests feel welcome by putting ourselves in their shoes.
"We're always looking for ways to improve, but mostly it's been using our common sense and really caring about our guests. For example, we have an 11-month-old and that means we understand that simple things in the rooms and restaurant can make life easier for parents."
