After a break of six years, 70s pop music stars The Bee Gees are reforming for a series of live shows.

Brothers Robin and Barry Gibb are the two surviving members of the seminal group, following the death of their brother and bandmate Maurice Gibb in 2003.

Robin Gibb revealed the comeback on BBC Radio's Test Match Special cricket programme. He stated: "The two of us are getting back together again as we speak."

He claimed that he and his brother Barry had "got through the breakwater of emotions" following their sibling's death.

He said Maurice, his twin, had been "not just a brother but a comrade in arms really", and that it was "an emotional thing when you lose someone that close."

After Maurice's death, the brothers vowed not to use the Bee Gees' name, however this has been turned around.

The band's hits spanned five decades and included 'Night Fever', 'Tragedy', 'How Deep is Your Love' and 'You Win Again'.
