Scientists have found a new species of wasp that turns its victims into zombies.

Scientists have recently discovered a new species of wasp, which reportedly turn their victims into zombies, allowing them to eat their prey at their leisure. The soul-sucking wasps, which are named after baddies from the Harry Potter films, is one of the 139 species discovered along the Mekong River last year. 

 

The Ampulex dementor prey on unlucky cockroaches using creepy mind control technique. The wasps injects venom into their prey, removing their free will. 

 

Other creatures that were discovered last year include a frog that changes in colour and a creepy-looking bat which resembles the extraterrestrial terror from the Alien films.
