X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has told how her daughter Aimee has had surgery after a breast cancer care.
She said that 21-year-old Aimee had found a lump in her breast but that the operation to remove it "went very well".
The two women were due to appear in a production of The Vagina Monologues in the West End starting on Tuesday, but had to pull out at the last minute to fly to LA.
Last night, Sharon, who herself had a cancer scare in 2002, revealed that they needed to return to the US for Aimee's treatment.
"The operation went very well on the whole but there have been a few minor complications and she will be having more treatment and lots of rest over the next few weeks," the 51-year-old said.
"We're sure she'll make a complete recovery. Thanks so much for all of your support - you've all been fabulous."
The news is just the latest in a series of troubles for the high-profile family. Last month, their Buckinghamshire mansion caught fire, while only months before millions of pounds worth of jewels were stolen in a burglary.
More seriously, Ozzy Osbourne was involved in a near-fatal quad bike accident in December 2003 and the two youngest children, Jack and Kelly, have received treatment for drug addiction.
"Health really is the most important thing in life," Sharon added.
"After the 12 months we've had, no one realises that more than me. I promise to let you know the second that Aimee gets the all-clear."
