Paris lands movie role

Paris Hilton is set to star in new teen comedy 'Bottoms Up'.

The hotel heiress, who is desperate to break into films after the success of her reality TV show 'The Simple Life', will appear opposite Jason Mewes, who previously starred in 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'.

Mewes will play a Midwestern bartender who falls in love with Hilton's character while trying to make it as an actor in Hollywood.

Meanwhile, distributors of Paris' infamous sex tape, 'One Night In Paris', are launching legal action against DVD pirates for illegally copying and selling the x-rated film.

Greg Piccionelli, the lawyer for World Wide Red Light District - which holds the copyright on the tape starring Paris and ex-boyfriend Rick Solomon - issued a law suit in Los Angeles federal court this week alleging Mordechai Kattan, owner of Woodland Hills One Hour Photo, made and sold counterfeit DVDs.
