Norris Cole - Coronation Street's nosey neighbour - will give himself a fright after trying to contact the dead.
The jittery character will hold a seance after convincing himself that the local newsagent's - The Kabin - is haunted by the ghost of a woman called Vera Lomax.
According to the Daily Star, Norris gathers Betty, Blanche and Kabin owner, Rita Sullivan, for a spooky late night ritual in the hope of speaking with Vera's spirit.
While the group are holding hands and chanting Vera's name, there is a loud bang. At first, the amateur ghost hunters suspect a practical joke from cynical Rita, but are soon convinced that they have upset the supernatural forces.
"When they realise something very spiritual and frightening is going on, they don't hang around and all scarper," an insider told the Daily Star.
"At first only Norris believes it is a good idea to try and communicate with the dead woman but the colour drains out of the ladies' faces when they realise Norris isn't as potty as they thought he was."
