North Yorkshire police will not take any further action against Jeremy Clarkson after producer Oisin Tymon decided not to press charges against his former colleague despite the fact that he required medical attention after the row and after receiving a torrent of verbal abuse.
The incident took place on 4 March and the broadcaster was suspended six days later before BBC announced that his contract will not be renewed.
Police report states: "Now that all the interviews are complete, we have properly established that there is no need for further police action."
Last week, it was confirmed that Clarkson will appear on stage with his former Top Gear colleagues, Richard Hammond and James May. The gigs, which was billed as Clarkson, Hammond, and May Live, will be stripped of all BBC branding and content.
