Former neighbours star Holly Valance has turned down 100,000 to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.
The last minute snub comes as a major blow to producers of the show, who had hoped the saucy singer would keep male viewers tuning in.
But even a bumper pay deal wasn't enough to persuade her to take part.
An insider told The Sun that producers had been signing up minor celebrities to plug any gaps.
"They have been signing up less well-known celebrities on contracts which tie them to the show, but can be broken by producers if they find better names for the line-up," the source said.
Former footballer Frank McAvennie, actress Bridget Neilson, racing pundit John McCririck and eccentric campaigner David Icke have all signed up to appear on the show.
Celebrity Big Brother comes to our screens next month.
