The crazy solicitor went mad when Dev married Sunita and burned down his flats and shops in revenge.

Second in the poll by Soaplife magazine was the shooting of Emmerdale's Jack Sugden with a shotgun by his adopted son Andy.

Albert Square's Martin Fowler's stalker hell came in third place, where viewers loved every minute of the episodes starring bunny-boiler one-night stand Sarah.
