Smith, who has starred alongside Billie Piper in 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl', revealed that he is finding it difficult to come to terms with the fact that he is taking on the role of the Time Lord after David Tennant. He said: "I'm flabbergasted. I havent slept, really. Doctor Who is an iconic part of our culture - and now I'm taking that on."
