The BAFTA award-winning BBC series about a group of MI5 intelligence officers at Thames House had seven successful series. Created by writer David Wolstencroft, the show had viewers hooked with its edgy storylines and a huge cult following.
In August 2008 a spin-off show, 'Spooks: Code 9', aired but was not received well by critics, who said it was "an utterly cynical venture" that "given its patronising awfulness... actually damages the Spooks brand" (The Guardian). No rumours of a film have surfaced.
