The hit US drama which follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island has won numerous awards and regularly attracts an average of 16 million viewers.

With five seasons in the bag and one more planned for 2010, rumours of a film have been circling for some time. WENN reported series co-creator Damon Lindel discussing the future of the show when season three aired as saying: "We'd love to end the show after four year, five years tops and do a movie."
