Julie McKenzie has been officially announced as the new Miss Marple, the old dear who embarrasses the local police of St Mary Head by solving all of their crimes for them.

Miss Marple also enjoys a spot of knitting. Her character appeared in 12 of Agatha Christie's acclaimed novels of detection and deception.
