Tagline: Everybody loved him... everybody disappeared
Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise) is a sports agent who is willing to do just about anything to get the best deals for his clients. Uncomfortable about the way the business is becoming more about money than the clients, however, he voices his doubts - for which he gets a standing ovation from his colleagues but the heave-ho from his bosses.
Only one client, a moderate player for the Arizona Cardinals (Cuba Gooding Jr), and one colleague, Dorothy (Renee Zellweger), a widowed accountant who has developed a crush on him, stay and offer to help him to rebuild his career.
The film was nominated for five Oscars, winning Gooding Best Supporting Actor and was the fifth Tom Cruise film in a row to make more than $100 million at the box office.
