Waiting to post bail, small time conman Verbal Kent tells police integrators the tale of how a drug deal turned into massacre at a dockyard and how it is all connected to the mysterious crime lord Keyser Soze.

After finishing his tale and walking free it is revealed to the audience and Kent's interrogators that his story has been a fabrication and that he is in fact Keyser Soze. He engineered the massacre to serve his own ends before driving away free and clear.
