Who said all conspiracy thrillers have to be serious? The perfect comedic pairing from the 'Shaun of the Dead' (Nick Frost and Simon Pegg) return in this uproarious spoof of 'The Wicker Man'. Like in that classic horror, the plot of 'Hot Fuzz' sees a high-flying city cop (Pegg) move to a small village in which all of the villagers seem to be involved in a cult.
The cop must uncover the conspiracy that threatens his life. After all he is a lone outsider. Throw in a brilliant comedic turn from ex-Bond star Timothy Dalton as a shadowy owner of a Somerfield store and the scene is perfectly set, but the best bits of 'Hot Fuzz' come in recognising how the genre is so ripe for parodying.
