Players: Jermaine Defoe and Peter Crouch

Forever the underdogs, Pompy have assured themselves an all-star line up of English talent up front this year. Some would even say these two were Steve McClaren's first choice pick for the nation.

Crouch has never been given the opportunity to shine at Liverpool, and will be glad of regular first team football.

Neither player has been at the club for any real amount of time, with Crouch just signing and Defoe wearing blue since the beginning of 2008. But both look sure to make an impact on Premiership defences this year, as their styles of play could not be more complimentary.
