The gaffe: The motorbike from 50 years in the future
Indy's latest crusade may have raided the box office but it stumbled into movie gaffe doom thanks to an embarrassing 47 mistakes - that's more than any other film released this year! The floors range from the rewriting of history to visible cables and of course, the motorbike from the future.
The movie supposedly takes place in 1957, yet the motorcycle that Mutt rides is based on a 2000 or newer Harley Davidson softail, showing the modern day controls and Twin Cam motor, instead of the panhead motor that would have been the period correct engine of 1957. It also has a front disc brake - you can see the master cylinder on the handlebar.
