The King of rock'n'roll himself fell to the live fast die young philosophy when at just 42 he died from heart failure.

The late 70s also saw Paul Kossoff (Free guitarist) die from a drug-induced heart attack, Keith Relf of The Yardbirds electrocuted while playing guitar and Tim Buckley die from a drug overdose.
