Media arts graduate Bonita Norris became the youngest British female to conquer Everest in 2010. Aged 22 she scaled the world's highest peak after gruelling two-year training regime to prepare her for the incredible feat.
Norris defied critics making the 29,029ft climb to raise money for children's charity Global Angels. She said of her victory: "One morning in 2008 I woke up determined to do it. Despite many people telling me I couldn't – and some insisting I would die trying – I knew I could prove them wrong."
