Drinking white wine is synonymous with feeling rough the next day. This is probably due to the sulphites that develop naturally or are added to preserve the colour.
Some can have an allergic reaction to them, worsening symptoms such as a headache or asthma. Bottles of blanc also wear away tooth enamel making them sensitive.
But it's not all bad news; research has found that the flesh of the white grapes used to make it contain tyrosol and hydroxytyrosol which help prevent clogging of the arteries from LDL cholesterol.
