The 'Lady In Red' singer became the first western act to perform in Iran since after the 1979 Revolution, despite the fact that western pop songs with lyrics are officially banned by Iran's religious authorities.

De Burgh said in press conference in Tehran: "This has been a dream of mine since I was a little boy (to visit Iran)....I am not here for any political reasons."
