BBC iMP
Most on-demand TV services need a subscription. Not the BBC's interactive Media Player, which is on trial and should be released to the public in 2006. You'll be able to download anything from the BBC channels from the past week and watch at your leisure. The bad news: the files self-destruct after a week, so you can't build a library. The good news: Geo-IP technology restricts the service to the UK. Eat that, America!
