Contestants are given a stolen car and 35 minutes to escape the police. If they do, they win the car they're driving.
One driver hid on a train to avoid being caught while another hid on a raft in the middle of the Moscow River. The majority of contestants got caught and the police would go as far as to throwing suspects against the car and arresting them with guns drawn.
At its peak, the show had 85 million viewers.
