Where to begin? Long before Michael Jackson became a living, breathing Madame Tussaud's exhibit, the one-time black entertainer was the King of Pop. The former member of The Jackson Five effortlessly churned out one hit after another, while somehow convincing the world that a single glove was a perfectly acceptable fashion accessory.
After that, things got just a little creepy. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tried to buy the elephant man's corpse, built an amusement park on his sprawling estate, had sleepovers with children a quarter his age, and became best friends with a monkey named Bubbles.
The colourful eccentricities were followed by two bizarre marriages, a highly-publicised child molestation case and a certain hotel dangling incident that won't likely get him any babysitting jobs in the foreseeable future.
But, the good news is he's still huge in Japan.
