Founded by the notorious Charles Manson, this cult gathered in the 1960s and believed in an impending and apocalyptic race war.

Manson foretold that the war would come in 1969. When this didn't happen he decided to kick start things himself, sending out his followers to commit a string of gruesome murders for which they were convicted.
