Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd are perfect as the out of time teenager and the crazed scientist who builds a time machine out of a DeLorean. Marty McFly (Fox) is propelled back into the 1950s and has to get his future parents to meet and fall in love after jeopardising his own destiny – the only trouble being that his own mother has started coming on to him.

Throw in brilliant attention to period detail and winning performances, and ‘Back to the FutureÂ’ maintains timeless appeal.
